We are happy to announce that the Howard County Historical Society (HCHS) has received a SHINE (Strengthening the Humanities Investment in Nonprofits for Equity) grant from Maryland Humanities for 2023.

This operational grant from Maryland Humanities (MHC) will help us to continue our mission of collecting, preserving, and providing access to artifacts, documents, and images while sharing even more stories from Howard County’s rich and diverse past. We will use the funds from MHC to support FREE programming, exhibits, and cultural events for the public.
